Based in Mirfield, the West Yorkshire Print Workshop is an open access printmaking facility.

We also run a regular programme of specialist printmaking courses and other related activities including arts and crafts activities and workshops for young people. We support artists and creative businesses by providing printmaking facilities, affordable studio spaces and exhibiting opportunities for members.

WYPW is a registered charity (no. 1010125) and a Regularly Funded Organisation of the Arts Council, England. We welcome any offers of voluntary assistance and sponsorship from the private and business sectors.

Our shop sells a wide range of printmaking papers, inks and other related sundries all at very competitive prices.

We sell to both members & non members. The opening times follow that of the workshop but items can arrange to be left out for members outside of these hours.

Visit to Blackburn Museum on Saturday 8th May

Liz Danby is organising a social visit to Blackburn Museum on Saturday 8th of May. Here's the details below for interested members...

JAPANESE PRINT COLLECTION
There are just over a thousand Japanese prints at Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, all of which were generously donated in 1947 by Thomas Lewis, a local cotton magnet. The collection represent a range of subjects from actors prints to legends but perhaps its greatest strength are the scenes of everyday life by notable artists including Hokusai and Hiroshige from series such as 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road and 100 Views of Edo.
