Originally founded in 1981, as Kirklees Art Space Society and formerly known as Eastthorpe Visual Arts (EVA), the organisation adopted its present name, West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW) in 2004.
WYPW is a registered charity (no.1010125) and a Regularly Funded Organisation (RFO) of the Arts Council England. As a not-for-profit organisation which is heavily reliant upon grant aid, we welcome any offers of sponsorship and assistance from the private and business sectors.
Our primary aim is to support artists and creative businesses by providing open and accessible printmaking facilities, affordable studio spaces and exhibiting opportunities for members. WYPW is also an equal opportunities organisation.
We provide a regular programme of educational workshops which includes specialised printmaking courses as well as more general art and craft courses. We have three main printing rooms as well as a large community room which is used to host larger workshops and activities, as well as special events and exhibitions.
We are always happy to show individuals or groups around the premises providing it is by prior arrangement.
Opening Times: Tuesday: 10.30am - 10pm, Wednesday: 10.30am - 6pm, Thursday: 10.30am - 6pm and
Saturday by arrangement (for members only).
Support is available from our Technical Manager Sammy Palfrey. Please contact us to discuss any assistance that you require. |
