On Thursday 10 April, five first year students from Batley School of Art and Design will be presenting InDev, an exhibition of photography, at WYPW.
The five students, who are on the BA in Contemporary Photographic Arts, will be exhibiting traditional black and white photography- works that they have developed over the course of their module Introductory Practice. Each student will display a series of photographs exploring the special quality that traditional black and white photography holds in describing a subject. Created in the dark room through experimentation and development, the project has harnessed unique results from each budding photographer.
InDev will be on display in the stairwell of West Yorkshire Print Workshop until 13 May 2014, running alongside our current gallery exhibition Legacy: Matisse and Picasso, Lithographs of the 1950s.
