Continuous Lines: Monday 11th February to Sunday 24th February 2013

This exhibition featuring the work of Helaina Sharpley is her first based from her studio home of West Yorkshire Print Workshop. An award winning designer-maker, Helaina produces elegant 2D and 3D wire sculptures/illustrations. Driven by an obsession with tea and its ephemera/customs, Helaina creates beautifully constructed three-dimensional illustrations in wire, with an acute attention to detail. The show ‘Continuous Lines…’ also features her fabulous and extremely elaborate wall based wire pieces inspired by architecture.

Alongside Helaina’s show runs a spectacular schools exhibit mapping a variety of Kirklees
localities through wire drawing. This work has been produced during several primary
school artist residencies funded by the Kirklees MC ‘Arts 4 All’ and The National Lottery Awards for All schemes.
