We have organised a Print Making Online Exhibition in partnership with the Cooper Gallery, Barnsley.
The group show features work by seventeen professional printmakers from around the country.
Sited within the main exhibition spaces at the Cooper Gallery, The Art of Printmaking highlights the different printmaking techniques used today, including etching, engraving, lino and wood cuts and screen printing, each piece demonstrating the intricacies of the individual artists work and how each printmaker conveys their message.
Every print in this exhibition is an original, and is produced as part of an edition, printed by the artist and numbered – from the hand tinted woodcuts by Angie Rogers to the screen prints of Ian Scott Massie and etchings of Michelle Keegan – all techniques represented requiring great skill and precision. All the works are for sale a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start or add to their own collection of original prints.
The exhibition if free and runs from Saturday 7 September until Saturday 2 November.
There are a number of printmaking workshops to accompany this exhibition, from families, to beginners to the more experienced, pop into the Cooper Gallery for further details.
