Learn the process of screenprinting posters and art-prints!
This 2 day course will cover the entire process of getting your design ready for print, preparing and creating screens, and screenprinting prints and posters; specific topics to be covered will be:
- Designing work using graphics software or by hand
- Making your design 'screenprint friendly'-understanding the pros and cons of the medium
- Registration tips and tricks
- Using such techniques as trapping and overprinting
- Screenprinting accurately and at speed
- Paper types and weights
While not intended as a beginner's course, no previous experience of screenprinting is required but would of course be helpful. This course is best suited to graphic designers or illustrators wanting to learn how to translate their work into screenprinting, or for those who have already started out in printing and want to improve their skills.
The course is run by Graham Pilling and Cameron Steward, both established screenprint artists who have exhibited and sold their work internationally, and who will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and share their experiences.
