| Trip to LIverpool Printmakers - Saturday 8th November 2008 |
 The Bluecoat, Liverpool |
West Yorkshire Print Workshop memebers are being invited to be the guests of honour in a tour of the recently refurbished Bluecoat in the heart of Liverpool.
Join the print studio manager Emma Gregory for a whistle stop tour which includes newly built gallery spaces and a modest but newly refurbished print workshop specialising in the safer end of printmaking techniques
There will also be artist talks at 2pm which will cost only £3 or £2 concessions....
Printmakers Anne Desmet (Printmaker Today), Neil Morris (Liverpool John Moores University and international artists exchange programme 8 Days a Week) and Sean Rorke (Hot Bed Press) have their inky fingers in an impressively wide range of pies. They teach, programme, publish, and exhibit. To coincide with their show at Editions Ltd. the artists talk about their work, careers to date and answer questions. A chance to query what makes a successful artist working in print and how well the print sector is networked in the North West and, indeed, what difference this makes.
It promises to be a great day out and a perhaps a chance for a bit of printmaking networking. Liz Danby is co-ordinating the visit so please contact her if you wish to go - everyone will be meeting beforehand at 12pm. Her e-mail is lizardlugg@yahoo.co.uk
