Spit Gathered is the latest from First Year Contemporary Art, University of Huddersfield. Comprised of two exhibitions, each shown for three days, at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop Gallery, 75A Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, WF14 8AT, from 17th -19th March and from 24th 26th March. Spit Gathered consists of drawings, paintings, photography and sculpture made over the academic year.
Exploring a wide range of concepts ranging from the global consequences of seeking Paradise or Revolution, an exploration of fantasy versus reality, excavating the possibilities within a Hidden Place, and the unique characteristics of the Body, it is an exhibition which surprises, enthralls and engages the viewer.
Countless mediums are used and experimented with, materials are sourced and questioned; even parts of the body are manipulated to test possibilities.
A not- to- be missed opportunity to view contemporary art being made by rising young artists based in the region.
