Creative Connections are quarterly events for artists and creative businesses in and around North Kirklees, run by Loca as part of its Creative Business Support Programme.
As well as nurturing the development of a supportive and well connected creative community, one of the aims of Creative Connections is to encourage practitioners to consider ways of raising their profile, finding commissioned opportunities, and strengthening their skills base through collaboration.
Bodie Cameron runs the day to day work of the BestJoinedUp collective and curates live art events and exhibitions across the UK and Europe. Somewhere in between all this he finds some precious minutes to illustrate and design for the music industry. Bodie will deliver an insightful case study that will illustrate how and why the collective started up and how it has developed over recent years.
In this interactive workshop participants will get an insight into the workings of a live art event and be provided with the means to create and collaborate on a live brief.
