| Courses at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop |
We have a rolling programme of vocational & educational workshops in printmaking techniques and other related arts.
Courses run on either evenings or weekends, are designed for beginners or the more experienced and are led by specialist artists.
We work with both oil and acrylic/water-based inks, and aim to minimize the use of more potentially toxic materials where possible.
Please see our courses page for more information for details and prices.

Tuesday - Expand your knowledge of printmaking by using the facilities at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop, technical assistance and access to etching, letter press, lino cut, screen print and photo etching facilities. (£30 induction fee, £5 per hour workshop)
Wednesday - The Art House provides a range of opportunities including access to our print studio equipment for safe intaglio and relief processes or hire of a short term studio to make, show or teach. You can also book a 1-2-1 session with a member of our team to reflect on your aspirations for your creative practice.
Thursday - Enjoy a second day at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop and finish off those projects you have been working on.

| NEXT EXHIBITION GOING FOR GOLD by TAG |
Our next exhibition is Going For Gold which opens on Tuesday 31st of January and runs until Monday 13th of February.
Going for Gold is the theme of exciting new work created by the contemporary Textile Art Group.
The exhibition explores aspects of gold which have little to do with competing for medals. Members of TAG, which was founded in 1994 to promote textiles as an art form, have interpreted Going for Gold in diverse ways, from studying highly artificial Art Nouveau jewelled insects and the techniques used in creating Moorcroft pottery to gold in the natural world, leaves, hay meadows, honeybees. True gold and fools gold, alchemical gold and the end of the rainbow gold have all inspired pieces in this exhibition. Conventional and experimental methods of creating work echo another aspect of the theme of going for gold, aspiring to a gold standard of originality and quality. |
